The Insane Couple from Chapelle's Block Party

The Broken Angel house is being forced to renovate. Arthur Wood is one half of the neurotic, bohemian duo that wierded people across the nation in the b-roll for Chapelle's Block Party DVD. Now, the Brooklyn/NYC building commssion says that the multiple story living installation piece must be brought up to code. Click the photo for the interesting NYTimes article.
I've tried to resist posting this, but it's too funny.

Do They have Popeyes in China?

My new favorite Air Force One. So real. This mixes everything that's great about Nike, "StreetWear," Air Force Ones, and the country's socio-economic downturn into one finger licking package. (applause)

Pornvertising...

Seen at Coolhunting.com, the nearly new era of Pornvertising is crowned. Sexpacking.com is euro-brand Shaiwear's newest marketing gimmick. CH has a great review of all the hype generated in the ad/blog world.

DBTHb is Back Baby!

What's more of a waste of time than making countless shrines to consumer and "streetwear" culture? Making shrines that make fun of the already ridiculous overconsumption of the world. I love this shit though.

More of Minnesota's finest...

George Thompson has been pumping out some of the most perversely wonderful shit for damn near the past 15 years... The Twin Cities has always had the good fortune of getting the nastiest, most unforgettable images burned into our brains from a young age. Looking at all these sites is a reminder of what we're coming full circle around to with all this "street art/culture" bullshit.

Support KFAI! Till the Break of Dawn

It's that time of year... Rhymesayers Entertainment out of the Twin Cities is holding their annual pledge drive for 90.3/106.7 KFAI. I remember when Till the Break of Dawn first started on KFAI, and the whole city would tune in every saturday night to the sounds of Slug, Eyedea, Ali, Musab, and Los Nativos talking shit, freestyling, and having fun. If you wanna support some true grassroots goodness, this is an easy way to do it. Donate on the site or by calling in during the program on Saturday from 9-11pm. When you donate, you get a hefty grab bag of goodies that includes CDs, reading materials, stickers, AND... you support the most diverse and creative public radio in the Twin Cities.

HolyZapatos Party #2... Reserve... DJ AM... November 2nd

HolyZapatos Party #2!
Come out at 9pm, November 2nd for DJ AM and HolyZapatos at Reserve.
Say you're there for "HolyZapatos" or ask for the shoes and live painting. It's a DJ AM night so dress up... It's Y.U.P.-central at Reserve (which means a utopia of respectable ladies to gold digging trollops). Live paintings, shoes, toaster purses, apparel, and more will be on hand for sale and any and all B-Boys and B-Girls are invited. It will be well worth the cover.
November 2nd --- Reserve --- 858 W Lake --- 9pm.

SP New Yawk... Confirmed Guests and Shoe Swap

Why the fuck would you be this stupid?

Why do people with enough money to buy small countries feel the need to do Stupid Shit?! Why the fuck would you launder money for coke dealing fools in the worst police state in the country? Fuck gossip, but this dude should get an honorary Darwin Award for being the frontrunner in the race for worlds most ignorant, resource sucking, in-need-of-euthanasia piece of shit.

Cool Hunting Video #50

Cool Hunting is, as it has always been, the spot for art and design on the web. Recently, their CHVideos reached a new milestone in cool... #50. There's days of interesting stuff littered across the site and tons of videos that make me wish I had gone to design school. The article on the RISD class was really captivating. Click the picture for the anniversary ---- RISD for the class video.

Louis Vuitton (LMVH) x Frank Gehry = Paris Cultural foundation
